PHILLY BORRELS

Where: Tria Café, Philadelphia
Join us for an informal Dutch borrel at Tria Café Washington West located at 1137 Spruce Street (at South 12th St.) in Center City from 3pm until 5pm. Robert and Miriam Meulmeester will greet you at the bar. Share Dutch jokes, insights, and meet some new people! Please spread the word to anyone Dutch or Belgian in the city - membership is not required!
You are responsible for your own tab but, 20% tip is automatically included.
We'd like to make this a regular event rotating to different locations so we hope to see you there !

Let's get together and hit some golf balls! You don't have to be a good player - just a good sport because this game is fun and social. Think bowling but with golf clubs. Food and drinks are served and a variety of games will be played in their digital realm.
NAADV GOLF OUTING

Cost: Members are responsible for their own greens fees.
This one is for the golfers! We play a best ball scramble format (Everybody hots their ball and the best lie is played) with prizes for longest drive, closest to the hole and lowest team score!

DUTCH AMERICAN HERITAGE DAY

This is a special day commemorating US-Dutch relations. More details on this event to come.
Here is a little history behind the meaning of this day:
"On November 16, 1776, a small American warship, the ANDREW DORIA, sailed into the harbor of the tiny Dutch island of St. Eustatius in the West Indies. Only 4 months before, the United States had declared its independence from Great Britain. The American crew was delighted when the governor of the island, Johannes de Graaf, ordered that his fort’s cannons be fired in a friendly salute. The first ever given by a foreign power to the flag of the United States, it was a risky and courageous act. Indeed, angered by Dutch trading and contraband with the rebellious colonies, the British seized the island a few years later. De Graaf’s welcoming salute was also a sign of respect, and today it continues to symbolize the deep ties of friendship that exist between the United States and the Netherlands."
